About this speaker

My name is Joe Nisbett and I am passionate about permaculture for designing holistic and regenerative solutions for social and ecological justice. I have practiced social permaculture in my community in Auburn over the past year with a new student club at Auburn University.

Most recently, I was an environmental planning researcher for the Alabama-Mississippi Sea Grant Consortium, where I studied the regional landscape, and green infrastructure responses to coastal resiliency. I am a recent graduate of Auburn University with master's in both Landscape Architecture and Community Planning, and certified in Permaculture Design from Grow Permaculture with Koreen Brennan. I spend my free time community organizing, meditating in the garden, or cooking fantastic soups.
